Across the canal and among the boats

Period: 2023

In 2023 I made a trip to Venice that nourished me a lot. I had the feeling of living inside a painting, which is what this photograph transmits to me.

A few days later I happened to see the film Across the River and Into the Trees by Paula Ortiz, filmed in Venice. The title refers to the audiovisual, which allowed me to relive the journey from new frames.

«Que viva la telefonía en todas sus variantesPensando estaba que te me escabullíasCuando vi tu nombre en la llamada entrante
Bendita cada onda, cada cableBendita radiación de las antenasMientras sea tu voz la que me hableComo me hablaste hace un minuto apenas
Te quiero, te querré, te quise siempreDesde antes de saber que te queríaTe dejo este mensaje simplementePara repetirte algo que yo sé que vos sabías»

Housetour

Period: 2022

A phrase that rings a lot in my head is “my stuff”. Physical and tangible objects, I don’t know the reason, but they are something important in my life. That’s why I’m so aware of my space; my home.

These photos show small corners of my house. A simple, intimate and personal series.

Electricity

Period: 2022

Everything in this photograph transmits electricity to me. The colour of the facade. The torn sign on the right. And the one on the left. The four repeated signs behind Elma. Elma. The black paint with the expressive face stuck on it. The four posters to the right of Elma. FATZOO. The white, blue, black, red, yellow, gold graffiti.

Anonymity

Period: 2022

From the window made by columns, the camera appears directing his gaze towards a woman with her back turned, looking at the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore in the distance. This act of looking, captured in an instant, generates a connection between the human figure, the architecture and the empty space that separates them.

Light and life

Period: 2024

In this night photograph, a small corner by a canal becomes a casual meeting point for strangers. Each person, oblivious to the others, is immersed in his or her own world. The contrast of the couple chatting, the people on their cell phones and those leaving.
